2 ★: The in-app navigation is awful. It does not note road closures and gives late or verbose directions. The app itself requires location information 24/7, which isn't necessary at (it makes sense while delivering orders.) The app also frequently has you drive to a hotspot, wait ten minutes while no orders come through, and tells you to drive somewhere else. The app also times out while you're driving, making it difficult to accept orders while driving.
4 ★: It's a great side hustle, and the app works pretty well, but I've noticed that it doesn't always end your Dash when you say you want to finish. It'll be past your end time and they'll throw an order at you even though you said you were done. They throw you the order, so you have to decline it, lowering your acceptance rate, which has to be high, and then you have to manually end the dash. I wish they would give you an option to either end your dash or take that extra order.
1 ★: Unless you agree to lose money just to get occasional "high priority" order, you will be waiting around unless you're in a very busy market. They add all these programs like it's in best interest for dashers, but these programs are simply in place to get the $2.50 orders delivered. (No tip orders) Otherwise top dasher is garbage and you make no more money than if you weren't. Diamond program is a scam as it's the same thing. I've done both these programs and only drove more miles.
3 ★: I have been calling customer support for 2 weeks. I cannot use navigation to go to a hotspot. And about 1/3 of the time, navigation to pickup or dropoff is completely wrong. And with every single order, navigation tells me I'm at the wrong address. I've started taking pictures to include the house or apartment number, so they can see I'm at the right place!
3 ★: app works well most of the time. but has a lot of outages making it unusable. it also has this glitch where it tells you you are not at the correct address. even though the included map shows you as correct and you can read the address. more annoying than anything. it also freezes up a lot if I switch apps real quick to send or read a text, then I have to close and reopen it. these issues persist across samsung s21 s22 and s23 phones.
1 ★: Rate the app, not the gig, though the gig isn't good with the low wages and lower available hours. that might be too many drivers. 1) give me a toggle to disable drink/dessert reminders. it's fine to tutorialise it once, but I understand the assignment by now. it's just annoying and I've actually delivered too early trying to dismiss it. 2) let me view other areas while dashing so I can choose to switch zones. too many orders send me far from start and it feels like quite a loss to drive back.
2 ★: I've been dashing going on a few years now. I've gone through three phones during that time period, and I can honestly say without any doubt that the Dasher app is utterly PLAGUED with bugs and makes for an often TERRIBLE experience. I've consistently and commonly experienced issues where the app will not allow me to select the option to confirm a pickup, navigate between hotspots, or load fast enough to accept an order before it's gone! All of these things result in negative impacts your rating
1 ★: The buggiest "professional" software I've seen since I started working with tech in '95. Today, the app got stuck on repeating the notification sound of a new delivery request (for the 1000th+ time) - but the normal methods of stopping it, either adjusting volume, cycling between vibrate/silent and sound, or pulling down the Android menu - none of them worked. It's absurd that such a bug would exist for more than a couple weeks, but that this bug still exists YEARS later is ludicrous & pathetic!
2 ★: Great (when it works) every time I want to sign in and use the app to drive and deliver I have to uninstall and install EVERY SINGLE TIME. When trying to sign in after entering my password and credentials it just keeps repeating over and over and endless loop or if I make it in the app it will just continuously pop up there was a problem and I could never get any further until I reinstall. I've spoken with others that are experienced the same problem since last year. Support is no help.
1 ★: I use something quite thoroughly before I rate it and I have many more than 1,000 deliveries and I have to agree with the other one star ratings. The app crashes constantly. The map doesn't work half the time, obviously somebody hacked it because now the colleges all have their drop off spots at cemeteries. So yes, it's hacked and your programming support for this app isn't doing their job. The app takes pictures of me whenever it wants. Stop adding fluff, add offline drop off to GPS map.

A: An Android Package Kit (APK for short) is the package file format used by the Android operating system for distribution and installation of mobile applications. Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same.
