5 ★: The ad blocker alone makes it worthwhile. However, one of the recent updates removed the ability to hold down the "back" button to select an earlier page to go back to. This was a great thing, especially when a webpage wants to redirect the back button to the same page you are on. Bring this back, Brave!
1 ★: Still can't use a Password Manager of our choice, all because they want us to store our passwords in their browser and then rely on sync, plus they probably are developing a password manager of their own = awful. Plus, we still can't put the URL bar at the bottom like pretty much any other modern mobile browser. Ad blocking is okay, but if you want great ad blocking, use Firefox and install uBlock Origin.
4 ★: My go to browser. Just needs some work. Vpn is $10 a month. I get it free with my 1.99 a month sub for cloud storage from Google. It's basic just like Google. If it had some next level encryption and a bunch of little tweaks like some advanced 9.99 a month vpns have then it would be worth it. Or even some cloud storage as a bonus. Otherwise why would anyone buy it? Rewards is a joke. Because uphold site and app are worthless. And sometimes Google gives better results for questions. Otherwise 🏆
2 ★: The browser provides (well, provided) a really great experience with ad and trackers blocking, which is why I downloaded it in the first place, but there has been a problem, and it's that whenever I have the shields up, literally every website just crashes and gets broken and I don't know why, when I turn the shields down the problem seems to be "resolved" I started using the browser for the privacy and ad free experience, now it doesn't work using those features, I hope this gets resolved soon.
3 ★: It's good when it works. Unfortunately it seems like more and more sites are figuring out how to make their pages break when you're disabling ads and scripts and cookies, so you're forced to disable Brave. Site settings are tedious to adjust. I wish there was a way to adjust by higher level domain instead of having multiple entries for one domain. Also then you're looking at tabs, many times the thumbnail is blank, so you can't easily tell what site it is.
5 ★: It's my favorite browser. It works just perfect, and it's fast. I use it in my PC, Linux laptop, and smartphone. However, since I changed to a Motorola G Power 5g 2023 I've been having problems with the app. After one or two days using it, the app stopped displaying the fonts and texts, and after the latest update some icons and symbols in websites don't display either. Edit: After the latest update it is fixed. It hasn't happened again. Thank you so much Brave team!
5 ★: Brave's rad. Only 2 issues I ever have is 1: if I'm watching YouTube then pause, then exit; it will freeze the videos the next time I open the app. And 2, when I try to turn off the VPN, I need to wait about 5 seconds before I touch anything else or else it will turn right back on. Otherwise it's great.
1 ★: I wanted to like this browser so bad, but it's missing sooo many basic features that other mobile browsers have and people have been suggesting these features for years with no response at all from the dev team. They took away the new tab button on the bottom bar in order to put in the find in page button instead. No, there's no way to get back this feature so two taps on opposite edges of the screen are required to open a new tab. There's way more but I'm out of text space. I'm uninstalling.
2 ★: I love the browser overall, but there's one super annoying problem that I constantly run into. Whenever I try to select text, it has a start and end pin, right? You slide each one around until they land at the right places. In Brave, you move one and then the other one jumps around to some other place! It's really hard to get both of them to land in the right spots when they keep jumping around for no reason... 😵💫
4 ★: Can't describe how amazing this browser is. It has changed my routine online. It's fast, secure, and rewarding (pun intended). I'll give it 5/5 STARS if they fix my issue with it: I use it for reading and unobstructed experience is what is seek, it doesn't help when the bottom and top toolbars won't hide automatically. Before, I could just update the app and it'd fix itself. But this time I'm all up-to-date and still no luck.
